Hey, I'm Calee Shea and I know how you feel...

Let’s take it back to Spring of 2016... I was dealing with major gut dysbiosis and leaky gut due to taking the pill, overuse of antibiotics, and popping NSAIDs for terrible headaches, joint pain, and period pain. Every day felt like I was bombarded with a huge whirlwind of symptoms - bloat, chronic yeast infections, swelling, fatigue, inflammation, BV, painful periods, psoriasis, hormonal imbalances, and acne.

I was trying every 30 day quick fix, juice cleanse, and detox tea that I could get my hands on. And none of them worked.

I knew there had to be another way.

I began to pursue my education as a holistic health practitioner and I became fascinated with gut health and hormones. 

I learned how to heal my gut in a way that didn’t stress me out or leave me feeling restricted.

And now I’ve guided hundreds of womxn on how to do the exact same thing.

My simple, but powerful protocol is the foundation for supporting a healthy gut and therefore the entire system.

If you’ve been reading this and wondering, “but isn’t she a period coach?” - you’re 100% correct. But a period coach is just a gut expert with a little extra sprinkle of glitter on top. AKA hormone problems are rooted in gut and inflammation. We cannot have balanced hormones without a balanced gut.

What is gut health?

Your gut is not an organ, but instead a few different organs make up your gut or “Gastrointestinal Tract.” These organs include your mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus.

In the Gut, 500+ different kinds of bacteria, fungi, and viruses have set up camp. Some of these are “bad” bacteria and some are “good” – but together they ideally live in perfect harmony, called the microbiome.

Everyone’s microbiome is entirely different and unique – it is determined by your mother’s microbiome at birth, and then from lifestyle and dietary choices after that.
The balance in your GI Tract affects everything in your body, from hormones to metabolism to mood to your immune system.

If this perfect harmony is thrown off, it can mean chaos for the body.

The health of our gut goes beyond just this balance and even includes the wellbeing of the organs and their tissue.

The goal? A balanced microbiome and a healthy system!

What is the difference between Gut Love and Period Bootcamp?

Gut Love is for womxn who want to address gut issues. The education portion focuses on gut health and its impact on the whole system and this program is much broader than Period Bootcamp.

If you're wanting to get really specific, Period Bootcamp is my signature group program that is very dialed in on addressing period problems and hormonal imbalances.

While they may have similar outcomes, the why, the education, and the protocols are very different.

I'm scared to invest...

I know investing in yourself can feel really scary and I've been there. But I can also say that this is the program I wish I had had many years ago. I spent so many years trying to heal, wasting time and money and energy and I wish that I'd just had a tried-and-true protocol. So if I was talking to that version of myself in 2016, I would tell her to go for it in a heartbeat.

What if I don't know anything about gut health and am totally new to the health and wellness world?

I’ve got you covered! My job is to meet you where you are, so if you’re totally new to this you’ll be supported and if you’re a wellness guru you’ll be supported!

I want to do this but I'm a really picky eater...

I truly means this so lovingly, but that's something you have to decide to get over. You are an adult and you are in charge of your own plate. The body thrives on balanced meals that consist of variety and limited meals or repetitive meals are a major contributor to inflammation. If you're here it is likely that your current habits aren't benefitting your health, so you get to decide what is more important to you right now. There's no wrong answer and no judgement, but picky eating is not something I cater to in this program.

Is there anyone who shouldn't join this program?

This program is not designed for pregnant or breastfeeding womxn and is not a good fit for womxn, who are on hormonal birth control with no intention of getting off within the next 3-6 months.

I'm vegan/ vegetarian so will the nutrition portion still work for me?

Yes! This program accommodates vegan/ vegetarian diets. 

I have a history of disordered eating, is this program okay for me todo?

We have had womxn in this program who have a history of disordered eating and they've really thrived. With that being said, it is your job to determine if you're ready for something like this. We don't damn any foods around here, but we do reevaluate nutrition in a way that can best serve your goal of healthy hormones. I recommend working with a therapist or healthcare provider in conjunction with this course to ensure that you are feeling confident about the work you're doing.

Will this work for me?

While I can't guarantee results, I can say that every womxn who has followed this protocol and shown up consistently has met her goals. This program is designed to work if you work it.
